Czech office for Standards, Metrology and Testing takes the responsibility for the development, publication and distribution of Czech standards (CSN) in compliance with Act No. 22/1997 Coll., on technical requirements for products and on amendments to some acts, as amended.
It ensures especially

The development, publication and distribution of Czech standards, other standards documents and publications related with standardization,

Co-operation with international and European standards organizations ISO, IEC, CEN, CENELEC a ETSI,

Fulfillment of duties and obligations resulting from the membership in ISO, IEC, CEN, CENELEC and ETSI,

Co-operation with other national standards organizations,

Maintenance of the collection of Czech standards,

Guidance and co-ordination of activities of Czech technical committees

Development of Programme of standardization,

Contractual relations concerning development of Czech standards and is concerned with economical use of financial means from the state budget in this area,

Preparation of announcements of Czech standards in compliance with Act No. 22/1997 Coll. for their publication in the ÚNMZ Official Journal,

International meetings of working bodies of international and European standards organizations in the Czech Republic,

Provision of information on Czech, foreign and international standards and documents,

Sale of Czech, foreign and international standards and documents.
